Herbs to rejuvenate and smooth the skin

Medicinal herbs that can rejuvenate facial skin

Medicinal herbs are present in many cosmetic products that can be purchased in stores, but in this case they do not retain their beneficial properties for long. For this reason, purchased creams and masks after a while become less effective than they were at the time of purchase. You can also use medicinal herbs for facial skin in their natural form, preparing decoctions, infusions and masks at home.

Dandelion

In cosmetology, dandelion has long been used for facial skin in anti-aging procedures. The plant also helps solve dermatological problems: with its help you can get rid of freckles and whiten the skin on your face. The plant contains rubbery substances, vitamins of groups A, B, C, E, PP, organic acids, resins, sterols and saponins.

The most effective cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation are those that use masks and cosmetic ice based on dandelion.

  1. Anti-aging mask. To prepare this mask, you need to take 5 ml of dandelion juice, 1 avocado, 5 grams of starch. You need to puree the avocado and then mix all the ingredients. The resulting mass should be applied to a previously steamed face, left for 30 minutes, then rinsed with cold water. The mask can be applied to the face 2 times a week. After several uses, deep and fine wrinkles in the skin are visibly smoothed and the texture of the face becomes more elastic.
  2. Cosmetic ice. To prepare this product you need: 10-15 ml of dandelion juice, 50 ml of distilled water, 5 ml of hazelnut oil. All ingredients must be mixed, poured into molds and placed in the freezer. You need to wipe your face with the prepared cubes, it is advisable to do this in the evening, the skin on your face must first be removed from makeup. The intervention must be carried out in sessions of 10 days and the duration of treatment must not exceed 3 times a year.

Rosemary

Rosemary can easily replace any lifting agent, as it contains the HSP70 protein, which can slow down the aging process at the cellular level. In addition, the plant contains tannins, fatty acids, vitamins and microelements that can heal and rejuvenate the skin.

Rosemary is most commonly used in essential oil form, which can be purchased at most beauty stores and pharmacies. To prepare cosmetics at home, you will have to grow the plant yourself, because in its natural form it is very rarely found on the shelves of stores and pharmacies.

  1. Rejuvenating mask. To prepare the mask, you must mash half a banana, then add 50 ml of avocado oil and an infusion or decoction of rosemary. The amount of decoction or infusion should be calculated taking into account that the finished mask should have a consistency similar to thick sour cream. The product can be applied to the face 2-3 times a week, after which the skin becomes more elastic and wrinkles are smoothed.
  2. Decoction. To prepare the decoction, you need to take 20 grams of dry rosemary leaves, pour 200 ml of boiling water and place in a water bath for 15-20 minutes. The finished decoction must be filtered before use. Take 50 ml 2 times a day.
  3. Infusion. The product is prepared from 50 grams of plant leaves, which must be poured with a glass of boiling water and infused for 3-4 hours. It is advisable to do this in a thermos or wrap the container with the infusion in something warm. After the prescribed time, the infusion must be filtered.

Important!Rosemary decoctions and infusions can also be used in the form of compresses or made into cosmetic ice.

Chamomile

Chamomile contains many vitamins, microelements and organic acids valuable for the body. All this together helps to rejuvenate, moisturize and whiten the skin, making it firmer and more elastic. In cosmetology, the most effective results can be achieved using chamomile decoctions and infusions.

  1. Decoction. To prepare the product, you need to pour dried chamomile flowers - 25 grams with a glass of warm boiled water and place them in a water bath for half an hour. The finished broth must be filtered and, if necessary, diluted with boiled water. The product should be wiped over the face and décolleté. After use, facial wrinkles are noticeably reduced and smoothed.
  2. Infusion. To prepare chamomile infusion, you need to pour a tablespoon of dried and crushed plant into a glass of boiling water and leave for half an hour. The finished product must be filtered and, as in the previous recipe, wiped onto the skin of the face.

Wise

Using sage for cosmetic purposes will help cleanse your facial skin and preserve its youth for a long time. The plant contains anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic substances, which is why sage is so widely used in cosmetology.

  1. Infusion for the face. The finished sage infusion can be used as an additive to lotion or tonic, and can also be used in the form of compresses and facial lotions. In order to prepare an infusion of sage, you need to pour 3 tablespoons of dry raw materials with a glass of boiling water and leave in a thermos for 2 hours. The resulting infusion must be cooled, filtered, put in the refrigerator and used as needed. You can make cosmetic cubes from this infusion: pour them into molds and place them in the freezer, and wipe your face with it morning and evening.
  2. Decoction. A decoction of sage effectively affects the skin of the face, rejuvenates and tones it. To prepare it, pour boiling water over three tablespoons of sage and cook over low heat for another 15 minutes. The resulting product must be cooled, filtered and washed once a day.
